My January statement for my Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card just posted today and I got a nice surprise as I viewed it online. The 7% annual dividends posted!
I honestly don’t know how they came to that total because I definitely didn’t earn over 119,000 Ultimate Rewards points in 2012, but I’m not arguing.
One of the main perks of this card is that every year, you receive a 7% bonus on all the points you have earn in that calendar year. Definitely a welcome perk.
7% ANNUAL POINTS DIVIDEND*Chase Sapphire PreferredSM will automatically award you a 7% Annual Points Dividend on all new points earned on purchases throughout the year – even points you have redeemed.
The other perks are pretty powerful too:
- 2x points on Travel (airline tickets, hotels, tolls, taxis, subways)
- 2x points on Dining
- No foreign transaction fees
- Ability to transfer to major hotels and airlines – United, British Airways, Korean Air, Southwest, Hyatt, Priority Club, Amtrak
This is usually my go-to card and, when people ask, I tell them it’s a card that stays in my wallet.
So keep an eye out for this month’s statements and I hope you did well on your bonuses!
